Another packed fortnight in DSD…
Congratulations to DSD's John Menton who was successfully elected to the board of the Olympic Federation of Ireland. John represented Ireland at discus throw in the 2000 summer Olympics in Sydney.
147 entries in the juvenile XC league last weekend – must be some sort of record.
Emma McEvoy and Sean Quinn were selected for the Euro Cross next weekend after their great performances in Enniskillen. Two athletes of the highest quality. Watch them on the telly on Sunday.
Congrats to Ruaidhri Kidney on taking a sledgehammer to the coal bunker in the gym. In a stroke (well many strokes), he’s increased the capacity by 20%...
The juvenile coaching committee is up and running, had its second meeting last week and filled all positions – That should ensure juvenile coaching is on a sound footing for the future.
Design on Phase 3 (development of house environs including walled garden) reaching finality this week under the guidance of Declan Ryan…
Great to see four DSD pole-vaulters in action at the NIA during the week. Kevin Byrne’s proselytising producing.

We enjoyed success at the National Novice and juvenile XC in Tramore where our juvenile teams impressed. Rob Connolly signed off on his coaching stint with victory for his young men. The club owes a debt of gratitude to Rob for his commitment and enthusiasm over the last four years. Let’s hope we seem him back in action with us again.
