MORE Fantastic news for DSD!
It is only a few days since DSD was declared the Athletics Ireland Performance Club of the Year, and now we have more good news.
The Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media has published the recipients of its 2022 Sports Capital and Equipment Programme (aka “Sports Capital Grant”) and DSD has been allocated €150,000.
While he was working on his 2021 endurance season (and what a season it was!) Paul O’Donnell of the St Thomas Development Team and Club stalwart Stephen Judge made an ambitious application to the Sports Capital & Equipment Programme to help us fund the development of trails throughout the new campus. Trails are essential for endurance training for all ages.
That work paid off with today’s announcement that DSD has received the maximum amount of funding that a sports club can receive: €150,000!
