Attached is a list of all Juvenile Athletes and their individual entries. Relays and some field events for the U17 to U19’s will be held on Day 1, Friday evening (10th Feb). All other individual events are on Day 2 and Day 3 (Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th Feb). Please refer to timetables below for time and day of your event. Remember event times are estimated and are subject to change without notice, therefore it is important that you are in attendance at least 1 hour before your first event.
A quick checklist:
All athletes must wear their DSD singlet. (Available to purchase at training this Wednesday in Irishtown or Thursday in BCS – Juvenile Singlets cost €20.)
Spikes must be 5mm. (Ensure spikes/runners are clean)
Bring food/water in case of delays. (No food consumed in the track/viewing area, except water)
PARENTS PLEASE NOTE:
It should be noted the viewing area of Abbotstown has limited space. We will try keep DSD athletes in the same area, but this may be difficult. With this in mind, it is expected that a parent/minder be present to ensure their child is supervised and directed to their event when announced. Coaches will be present to warm up the kids. We appreciate your help in this matter.
Finally, the Dublin Athletic Board require all clubs to provide a number of volunteers to steward/officiate during the championships. Without these volunteers the schedule of events will be delayed, as such ‘many hands make light work!’ Coaches are busy preparing the athletes for their events, and are unable to put themselves forward for stewarding therefore we look to parents to fill this gap. It would be much appreciated you accept a task when asked, or even better put yourself forward!
