As you can appreciate it takes a lot of effort from all clubs to host an athletics event.   Thank you to the DSD parents and to the volunteers from the Dublin Athletics Board who have given up their time to help on the day, your generosity is very much appreciated.

NOTE:

Coaches will be on hand to warm-up athletes and will also walk the course before race start time – please note the time that your coach has advised to arrive is 1hr15mins before your race time. It is important that you be on-time as Coaches are unable to wait to start warm-up and walk the course.  Highlighted in yellow on the Schedule is the approx. time DSD Coaches will walk the course.

NOTE:  Please note that once racing has commenced, we will not be able to walk the course, therefore it is important that you arrive promptly.

Volunteers/Officials

Clubs are required to provide volunteers at all events. In order to ensure that our coaches can concentrate on their athletes we look to parents to help when required and your co-operation is much appreciated. Many thanks to the parents who have put their names forward already to assist – in the event that we need to ask for volunteers to step in on the day – we hope you will be patient with our requests and generous with your time.

Further communication will issue to volunteers.

Parking

Parking is available at the Papal Cross which is less than 10 min walk from the course which is in the vicinity of the Magazine Fort.

There is strictly no parking along the verges on Military Road, the park rangers will have cones along that road and others in the vicinity, and cars parked illegally will be subject to fines.

Please refer to the attached documents for Entries, Course Map, Race Schedule and Age

Wishing all athletes the very best of luck!
