Dublin Juvenile Indoor Championships 2024 Days 2 & 3 Entries NOW OPEN!

Thank you to all who submitted their Day 1 entry, and we wish all our athletes the very best of luck this Sunday 21/01/24 in the first competition day of the Dublin Juv Indoor Championships 2024.

Sincere thank you also to the parents who put their names forward to volunteer on Day 1 – the coordination for Day 1 was made so much easier by not having to look for more volunteers to cover our requisite duties – particularly when we are also busy managing athlete entries and deadlines as well. We hope you will be as generous with Day 2 & 3!

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Anyone who mistakenly included entries for day 2/3 events with their Day 1 entry WILL NEED to resubmit their Day 2 & 3 entries now.  We received entries for 99 Day 1 events from 76 athletes, as you can appreciate it is difficult for us to keep track of event entries for other days – PLEASE ONLY SUBMIT AN ENTRY FOR THE SPECIFIC DAYS THAT ARE OPEN.

2024 Membership Renewal:

A reminder that entries can only be submitted from DSDAC for athletes that are currently registered with DSDAC for the 2024 Membership Year.  You should have already received communication regarding this from the Membership Team.

To give some background on how the Athletics Ireland electronic entry system works - for DSD to submit a competition entry, each Athlete’s Athletics Ireland 2024 Membership must first be renewed by DSDAC.  For this reason, we ask that your 2024 DSD Membership is current, please note DSD membership can be paid on a phased basis – Click here for full details on how to renew your membership.

Due to the earlier than usual Competition dates and Entry Deadlines this year – we will have a tight turnaround on Membership and AAI Renewals – so we ask for your cooperation and patience with our requests.

Juvenile competition entry fees are included in your Club subscription, however we would like to remind members that entry fees are per event, so please ensure you are available to compete in all events that are entered.

Club Singlets

Note that the Club Singlet must be worn for all competitions – please find the link below to order: Dundrum South Dublin Athletics Club - Team Wear Store.ie

Volunteer Officials – (NO experience required!)

As with all events, it is a condition of the Dublin Athletics Board Juvenile Competition Committee that all Clubs provide officials in order to ensure their athletes are permitted to compete.

To ensure our coaches can prepare and assist their athletes we look to parents to help when required and aim to schedule volunteers on a rota basis throughout the day to share the load.

There are a number of parents who step up regularly, for which we are most appreciative, however we would like to invite those that have not volunteered before to also come forward.  Please let us know when you are available - there is no prior experience required – it is a great way to learn more and give back to the athletics community.

We are required to submit Volunteer names in advance of each competition day.  For this reason, we ask that you please confirm your availability when submitting your entry.  This also allows us to arrange a rota for the day ahead of time.
