Declan Ryan’s Master’s group proved that age is no barrier, as they achieved a wonderful result with a great team win (W50) a the National Masters C.C. Championships in Waterford. Pauline Robertson, Cathryn Brady, Linda Finnegan and Annette Kehoe battled through a tough muddy course to take home the gold medals. Joan Coyle added to the tally with a 2nd place (W65)
Peter Mathews enjoys muddy conditions, as his national senior championships of a few years ago would indicate, and once again he showed his class taking home gold (M45).
D.S.D also had two athletes in action in Lee Valley at the B.M.A.F Championships and both came away with medals. Peadar McGing scored 3440 points to win his event in a new Irish age group record. Kevin Byrne came away with a bronze (M40) with 2858 points, also a new national record.
Congratulations to all!
