After our trip to the European Clubs Cross Country Championships last week, we spread our wings this week to the other side of the Atlantic, where Siofra Cleirigh Buttner won a great 1 mile race in New York. Siofra won in 4.33.16, to head the collegiate mile listings for the year, at the Fast Track, Ocean Breeze Track & Field Complex, for a great new PB.
Sinead Denny was also on her travels to Vienna, where she achieved the qualifying time for the European Indoors, for the second time this year (53.73). Sinead, the current national outdoor 400m champion, will expect to be selected for the European Indoors, to further enhance her reputation.
