Congratulations to Siofra Cléirigh Buttner, who confirmed her qualification for the European Indoor Championships, by winning the 800m, at the Irish Life National Senior Indoor Championships at the National Indoor Arena, Abbotstown yesterday, in a time of 2.04.15.
Kate Doherty produced yet another P.B., in the 60m hurdles, in great style, whilst winning her first national senior title, in a time of 8.29.
Zak Curran was just pipped by Mark English in the men’s 800m, finishing 2nd in 1.51.91.
Other good performances were produced by Jerome Caprice 5th 5,000m walk 20.52.56; Robert Corbally 8th 3,000m 8.30.63; Meghan Ryan 8th Women’s 3,000m 9.50.39, with Abbie Taylor 10th 9.57.52 in the same race.
