Jumpers on the mark in Tullamore!

On Day 1 of the National Juvenile All Ireland Championships in Tullamore, Daniel Conway got us off to a great start, when he set a new PB in the Triple Jump (11.32) taking gold. He later added to this with bronze in the High Jump. Also in great form we had Lauryn Healy, who won the U.15 High Jump, with a great leap for her age of 1.55. More medals in the jumps were to follow with Cionnaodh taking silver in the High Jump 1.40 PB, he also had a PB in the Long Jump winning bronze. In the U.18 Triple Jump Molly Mullally won bronze with a jump of 10.96 PB.

Brian Walsh won silver in the Hammer with a throw of 45.15.

Eoghan Fitzmaurice just missed out on a medal in the U.17 100mH, finishing 4th in 15.09.

In the U.16 800m Sean Healy was 8th 2.07.39, with George McGilton 11th 2.16.66.

Well done to all – we can now look forward to Days 2 and 3.
