While most of us were celebrating St. Patrick’s weekend some of our distance runners were competing in the first of the Kia Race Series. Paul O’Donnell led the team out in a head-to-head battle with Sean Tobin that saw both athletes beat the previous course record with Sean just pipping Paul to the title. He was supported on the men’s side by Micheal McCarthy and Killian Mooney who lined up for the team despite picking up a knee injury the day before. Emma McEvoy took on her first ever 5k with Maria McCambridge and Amy Moran also securing a strong women’s team for the first event. Keep an eye out for the next few races in the series and please let our captains Meghan or Rob know if you intend to run so we can make sure to declare all DSD entrants!!
