✨ Medals for Masters at World Indoor Championships ✨

2025 WMA World Indoor Championships finished last Sunday in Alachua County Florida with 4 DSD Masters representing their club.

Shane Sheridan came home with 🥉 in 200m M65, and heroically dipped for the line for the medal and subsequently broke his collar bone. In Shane’s own words “Returning home with one World medal and one broken collar bone sounds like a fair exchange “

Lucy Moore Fox competed in 5 events in the W65 category, which kept her busy throughout the championships. It’s a testament of Lucy’s attitude to life, fits as much as possible in when you can!

Avril Dillon ran three tremendous W45 60m races and came 6th in the final. Not an easy task considering all her injuries leading up to the championships and lack of championship preparation.

And finally, although Adina Gheorghiu didn’t have the Irish vest on during the championships, she wore her native Romanian kit, as always Adina shine in both of her events. She won the W50 60m 🥇in style and a championship record and won 🥈 in 200m.
