Congrats to all DSD Masters athletes who competed in Athlone yesterday March 10th. There were 6 golds, 4 silvers and 1 bronze medals won between 5 athletes as follows:
1 Gold for Avril Dillion in 60mH in new Irish W35 record of 9.69 secs.
1 Silver for Sheelagh Jones in W55 1,500m in 6.05.46
5 Golds for Peadar McGing 60m 8.47; 200m 28.79; 400 1.06.48; hj 1.40m and long-jump?
3 Silver’s for Kevin Byrne in M45 60mH 9.95 secs, lj 5.01m and hj 1.55m.
1 Bronze for Ronan Gately in M45 go in 1.50m
Also big congrats to Kevin Byrne who competed in British Masters today (after a hectic day in Athlone yesterday). Kevin set a new M45 Irish record in Pole Vault with 3.30m (which earned him 2nd place). Overall a great weekends work by our Masters Athletes and full credit to our excellent coaches Avril Dillion, David Connolly and Lucy Moore
