Rachel Lynch won her first National title yesterday in Tullamore, whilst competing in the U.17 300m hurdles. She won in impressive style clocking 44.33. Daniel Conway added to the two medals he won last weekend, with a great win in the U.15 boys 250m hurdles 35.27. Eoghan Fitzmaurice was just pipped for gold in the U.17 boys 300m hurdles, but had to be happy with his silver medal, after a heat and final in the flat 400m on Saturday, where he just missed out on a medal with a great PB of 52.31.
Jamie Byrne also produced a great new PB in the U18 boys 1500m, clocking 4.02.25 for his first medal at national level.
In the U.18 Long Jump Molly Mullally jumped to a new PB of 5.36, for a second place finish.
Another to impress was Lawrence Gevero, who took bronze in the U.16 100m 11.57 PB, and followed up with 6th place in the 200m 23.61 Ht.,23.97 final.
In the U.18 3000m walk Ciara Wilson Bowen won bronze, in a time of 16.20.08.
Also finishing in 4th place and just missing out on medals we had: Jack McGlone 400m 51.95; Ernie O’Brien Hammer 42.38, and Robert Hayes 400m hurdles 57.79.
