Many of them fresh from their training camp in Portugal, our Senior Men took to the streets of Raheny for the National Road Relays last weekend. There was quality in spades across all legs of the race making for a very exciting event. We were led off by Killian who put us right into the mix of the chasing pack. He handed over to Mikey who ran a blistering 1 mile leg (the 4th fastest of the day) to keep DSD in touch. Paul took over for the 3 mile leg where he closed the gap on John Travers of Dunore and clocked the third fastest time of the day. Joe brought the team home to claim 5th place in the final 2 mile leg. This was a great performance and result by the team in a race that saw the eventually winners Clonliffe, break the National Road Relay record.
