Siofra Cleirigh Buttner ran a great race in the Morton Games international 800m and came close to her personal best in 2.02.63. Ciara Mageean was top Irish finisher in 2.02.13 and both showed that they are peaking correctly for the upcoming Europeans in three weeks time.
Zak Curran ran a fine race to finish 4th in the Men’s 800m in 1.47.07.
Well done also to Laura Gallagher, who was in action in Scotland, at the SIAB, finishing 4th the 300m hurdles 45.62. Laura was one of the youngest athletes competing and will look forward to taking part again next year.
