Dublin Juvenile Spraoi Team Championships 2025
Sunday 16th February
National Indoor Arena, National Sports Campus, Abbotstown
Excitement is building for the Dublin Juvenile U9-U11 Spraoi Team Championships to be held this coming Sunday 16th February at the National Indoor Area – it promises to be a fun filled day for all involved!
There will be U17 & U19 Mixed Relays at 10am – just before the Spraoi Games commence. It will be a great opportunity for our young athletes to see some of our older Juvenile Athletes in action on the day as they compete in 6 Mixed Relay Teams across the 2 Age Groups.
The Spraoi Games start at 10.30am with the U9 Girls, U9 Boys & U10 Girls and the afternoon session starting at 1.30pm for the U10 Boys, U11 Girls & U11 Boys.
Athletes are participating together in a Club team from their age group. All athletes will be encouraged to compete in a Run, Jump and Throw event with 4 athletes from each team competing in the Medley Relay.
· Run: 60m race
· Jump: Standing Long Jump
· Throw: Overarm Weighted Beanbag Throw
· Medley Relay: A traditional relay but with various distances, 1st & 2nd leg are 200m, 3rd leg is 100m and final leg is 300m.
Each Team will be accompanied by a Designated Coach who will accompany athletes in the Warm Up Area, prepare them to enter the Competition Area for each event and supervise them in the Athlete Team Area between events.
All Competitors will receive a special certificate – there will be no medals awarded.
