Last week we enjoyed…
🥇🥇An 800m double at the Leinsters – well done Charlotte Bourke and Joe Hastings.
💪 And our growing Masters crew kept the famous silver vest on the podium.
👏 Louise King also caught the eye. One woman, many events.
🏠 Gerry Dunne’s volunteer crew did a major clear out of the house. More space for more mats. And the pool table is going to a good home.
🌳 The Orchard has been revealed as a massive jewel with the removal of the non-native trees and koalas. Have a look.
Valerie Gorman is our Women’s Officer with a mandate to promote the Women in Sport Programme. We are particularly blessed on the distaff side in DSD but we can always do more. I believe she was at the euro indoors last weekend.
🥇🥈🥉Speaking of blessed, our Meet Train and Race crew wrapped up their domination of the Meet and Train league.
👏 Entries for the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon were as good as hoped with record first day entries. Soon we will be looking for volunteers to help out on the big day so don’t change your phone numbers.
Boschy didn’t get a gallop at the Euro indoors but he did get a load of new kit. So that’s a win.
Last weekend we had plenty of interest in the schools XC. More on this this week!
📆 Ticket sales are strong for the DSD Running and Conference on 22nd March so enter now to avoid disappointment. Please see link on previous news item.
