A strong DSD squad headed to Charleville on Sunday for the National Half Marathon Championships.
Grace Lynch was the performance of the day producing a very strong run to finish 2nd in a time of 75.36. Grace also led the DSD womens team to victory over rivals Leevale. With Lisa Gaughran and Romaine King packing well with 89.15 and 89.48 respectively it gave the DSD ladies a 90sec cushion over Leevale.
The Clubs men’s team claimed a 2nd place, losing out to Leevale by 60secs. There was some strong running at the front of the race, with Killian Mooney finishing 4th in 67.02 and Emmet Jennings 6th in 67.30. Completing the team scoring was John Eves in 24th in a time of 70.39 with Eanna O’ Bradaigh finishing close behind in 28th and 71.17 in his first Half marathon.
